Connie Brown Anders (Harper)
Jerry Anders
Larry Anders
Favorites: "A Fool Such as I," Elvis, Home from the Hill, Bullwinkle (and Rocky)
Memories: Instead of "Under the Boardwalk," one memory is "Under the Gym Floor," but I won't put that in writing.
Highlights: The main and most important highlight is that I have not died yet. After college, I was married to Maxye for nearly 13 years until she died at 36 from breast cancer. We had two daughters, Stephanie and Jennifer, and one son, Corey. Married Cheryl, and was married for nearly 10 years before she found a younger man at work and we divorced. Now married to Nancy, and in 1997, we celebrated our golden wedding anniversary. We married too late in life for a true 50th anniversary, so we looked at the numbers, and when the combined years that we had been married to anyone was equal to 50, we celebrated our golden anniversary. We have now been married for 9 years and are cautiously optimistic that this time next year Nancy will move up to number 2 on the wife longevity list and there won’t be a fourth spouse for me nor a third for her. I earned a B.S. degree in math in 1965 from The University of Alabama. I taught high school math one year at Speake and one year at Hartselle. I was a computer programmer for 15 years, then did desktop computer hardware, software, and management for 17 years. I retired in January of 1999, and am renovating a 75 year-old house and playing with a couple of British cars in my retirement.

Carolyn Carden (Smith)
Johnny Cordar
My plans are still to attend!!! My Class annual was burned in a fire several years ago, so I will just bring myself. The attire is casual? Got your letter and the class roster and the whereabouts, really amazing that some of us are scattered about this Great Country of ours. Looking forward to the 30th of June 2001. Fooooortyyy YEARS!!! -- Johnny C.
Paulette England (Stimmel)
I have worked as a secretary since graduating. I have worked at several places but the most memorable was Boeing (when we put the first man on the moon). Neil Armstrong came to our building to fly simulation and I saw him in person. Another highlight in my life was when I attend a Young Republican reception in Atlanta for President Gerald Ford. I met him and shook his hand. I've been employed by The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Auburn University) since 1990. I work for a group of specialist (Agronomist, Animal Scientist, Entomologist, Farm Economist and Computer Analyst). [sic]
Made a few bad choices from 1963 until 1982. I wasted a good portion of my life. Lived in Houston, Texas in summer of 1973 and then in the fall of 1973 moved to Atlanta and lived there until 1989. Lived the "big life" from 1974 until 1982. But a miracle happened in 1982. I renewed my fellowship with Jesus Christ and not many months after that I met a wonderful man named James R. Stimmel from Miami, FL. We married and had a daughter. We named her Amanda (which means "worthy of love"). Jim retired from the Department of Transportation - FAA Division in 1989 and we moved back to Massey in 1989. Jim is from Miami and believe it or not Massey was a more desirable place to live than Miami. Since we are limited to the distance we can travel because of Jim's health, we find fun things to do that keeps us close to home. We enjoy yard work and gardening. Jim is my idol as well as Amanda's. He is optimistic and a fun person in spite of his health.
I'm attaching a picture of my family and also a picture of my two stepdaughters (Stephanie and Lisa) and Amanda.

Hal and Billie reside in the suburbs of Massey/Danville in Morgan County, AL. Billie says that Hal would NEVER leave Morgan County. He's 3 1/2 miles from the old Massey school site, 81/2 miles from Falkville and very near the place where he was born. He loves trading and raising cattle, tolerates building fences and the other hard work that goes along with it. Billie thinks that she's very lucky to have been married to Hal for 22 years. Together, they have 7 children, 10 grandchildren and other grandchild on the way. Hal loves his family and, needless to say, family events and gatherings occupy a lot of their free time.
Myra Lee (Bell)
Hi, Wanda, I wish I could be there for the reunion. We are leaving the 19th of this month (May) for Anchorage, AK. We will be there until Sept. 15. I do travel nursing and will work there fro the summer, worked there last summer also and did 9 months in Arizona before that. Mom & Dad seem to be okay. Talked w/ Paulette and encouraged her to come. Sure will miss being there. Myra.

Cathy Macoy (Stillwell)
Married Frank Wallace in 1962; had a son (also Frank) in 1963; Husband was killed in Vietnam in 1966; Entered UNA, met present husband (Mac Stillwell), earned degree in Accounting. We were in Decatur for 9-10 years and then moved here [Hudson, WI] with 3M. Daughter (Susan) born in 1980. Our son has been in Austin, TX for past 15 years; Susan is at Lipscomb University in Nashville - will graduate next May. I have worked "off-on" for past 40 years, but spent most of my time "raising children and husband."
TODAY - Mac is threatening to retire and return to teaching. I am praying this "urge" will blow over and we can continue as we are for a few more years. If we do end up in Tennessee, THAT WILL BE GREAT; If we end up in Oklahoma.......................I suppose I'll make lemonade!
You know - reading the website and seeing the pictures brings back so many memories I had not recalled in years - reminds me of who I really am. I AM GOING TO BE SICK TO MISS THIS!

Betty & Judy finally found out what a Frankfurter was. Wanda & Cathy stapled their blouse [sic] together instead of sewing, but Mrs. Sherard caught them. Mrs. Key would snape [sic] her fingers at Wanda & Judy in study hall, she was shocked that Judy threw a pencil to Wanda across the room when her back was turned."
