The Rev. Charles A. Hough, IV, SSC, Rector

Fr. Chuck Hough was ordained Deacon in March 2007 and then graduated from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in May  with a Masters in Divinity.  After beginning at St. Mark’s Church, Arlington, Texas, in July of 2007, Fr. Hough was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests on September 9, 2007 by the Rt. Rev. Jack L. Iker, D.D., Bishop of Fort Worth. In August of 2009, he was called to serve as Rector of St. Paul’s Church in Gainesville, Texas.  

Additionally, Fr. Hough currently serves as secretary to the Catholic Clerical Union (CCU) and he is a member of the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC), a society of priests who have taken on a shared Rule of Life.   In his time in seminary Fr. Hough served as assistant to the professor of Liturgics and Ascetical Theology, managed the various student work crews that maintained the seminary campus, and acted as Convener of the Pusey Guild, the seminarian affiliate of the SSC.  He also served as seminarian assistant at St. Edmund’s Church, Waukesha, Wisconsin.  Further, in this time he completed a summer internship as a chaplain at St. Camillus Continuum of Care, as well as an internship at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.   

Fr. Hough has a lovely wife, Lindsay, who he met at Texas A&M University where they both achieved their Bachelor of Science degrees, his in Political Science and hers in Nutrition.  Lindsay is a Registered Dietician with a Masters of Nutrition from Texas Women’s University.  They are blessed with a son named Charlie who is the joy of their lives.
