Church Planting in Ukraine
With only one-fifth the population of the former Soviet Union, the opening of the Ukraine presents a previously unimaginable opportunity to spread the gospel. Currently MTW has planted 4 churches and helped found a seminary and a medical clinic.

John and Alexandra Bush will be working with the church planting team in Kiev. Their focus will be on reaching the "Novie Russkie"- the "New Russians."

This emerging business class has taken quickly to commerce, but remains largely resistant to Christ. Having worked as a Russian linguist in the military, John plans to use Bible studies and friendship evangelism as outreach tools. Alexandra hopes to work with women hurting from abortion. It is not uncommon for a Ukrainian woman to have six or more abortions during her lifetime.

Please join with John and Alexandra in bringing the power of the gospel to people who are suffering from decades of being told, "There is no God." As partners, please pray for the Bush's cross-cultural preparation, team unity, hearts prepared to respond to God's call, and above all, that their work will glorify the Lord.

The Bush's have 4 sons: Johnny (6/96), Tennyson (11/97), Reagan (2/99) and Calvin (11/25/2000.)
